Santa and his team prepare all year long to ensure seniors who are alone or who need a little assistance receive a bit of Christmas Cheer.
The holidays can be difficult on seniors; however, we must keep everyone safe. With that in mind, instead of purchasing gift baskets, supply bundles, and personal items for your senior this year, we are asking for your support in a different way.
Seniors in need of some kindness this Christmas will receive a gift card. Through the generosity of your contributions we will purchase their gift cards and mail them to your adopted senior.
All you have to do is sign up to be a Santa’s Little Helper on the sponsor form, choose your level of participation, and make your contribution either online, by phone, or by mail. We will then send you a little bit of information about the lucky senior you are sponsoring. Donations can be made at www.continuetogive.com/senioragegiving
It’s that easy! If you would like to become a Santa’s Little Helper, please call 417-868-9523 or e-mail ju*********@se*********.org.
It’s fun, it’s rewarding .. you can make a difference. Here’s what past helpers have said:
“Glenda and Jim were such a delight. They were so grateful to just be together after 58 years of marriage, but the gifts we purchased for them made them smile from ear to ear. I’m glad I could help make their holiday a great one.” – Debbie L.
“My family and I were unable to deliver gifts to our adopted senior as this was her first time on the program. We received a thank you card from Sylvia in January and she seemed so appreciative of her gifts. ‘I can’t believe someone out there actually thought of me,’ she said. I know my family made a difference” – Pam, Scott, Mindy and Foxy the dog
“I look forward to Christmas every year. It has become family tradition to pool our money and adopt someone in need. Our past three seniors have been so gracious and kind, and we have built friendships my kids will never forget.” – Donna, Tom, and kids.
