Need Health Insurance? Have questions about what you could pay for health insurance?  

The Health Insurance Marketplace is a new way to find coverage that fits your budget and meets your needs. Whether you are uninsured or just want to explore your options, SeniorAge and the Marketplace can help you find coverage that is just right for you.

Do you have health insurance? You can now enroll for Marketplace insurance until January 15, 2023. You could qualify for a Special Enrollment period if you recently lost health insurance, had a change in family size, or other life events. If you have questions about health insurance, give us a call. SeniorAge has certified Navigators available to provide in-person or virtual assistance to enroll, file appeals, or answer questions. The rules for Medicaid and Marketplace have changed.

The coverage gap is gone! If you previously applied for medicaid and did not qualify, check again. The rules have changed and Medicaid thorugh MO HealthNet may be an option for you. For the first time, more adults qualify for low cost or free health insurance through MO HealthNet. This includes parents who have not qualified before, as well as childless adults.

A single adult making up to $1563 a month, or a family of four making up to $3192 a month, can now qualify for Medicaid. 

The family "glitch" is gone. If you did not qualify befor ehte premium tax credit because an employer had family health insurance, you could qualify now. Enhanced premiym tax credits have been extended, making insurance more affordable than in previous years.

2023 Coverage

Open Enrollment for 2023 health coverage ends January 15, 2023.

If you have Marketplace coverage:

1. Log in to update your application and enrollment. Your new eligibility results will show you the tax credit amount.

2. Update your plan selection with tax credits. If you qualify for more tax credit, reselect your current plan in order for the changes to take effect to lower your premiums
