Nominations are currently being accepted for the SeniorAge Board of Directors
Candidates from Shannon County are being sought to serve on the SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging Board of Directors. The home office is located in Springfield, MO.
Board Members serve three-year terms. Responsibilities of the board members include approval of the Area Plan, budgeting, and policies relating to aging programs. Each of the 17 counties served by SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging have representation on this volunteer Board of Directors.
Any resident of Shannon County may file a Declaration of Intent. Candidates must be willing to devote time to learning about the agency’s mission and work, have a sincere interest in programs for the aging, attend regular meetings in Springfield and attend periodic training sessions. This is a volunteer position.

Declarations will be accepted until the vacancy is filled or through January 21, 2021 (whichever occurs first). The board of directors will interview applicants and appoint the representative to serve until the next election period for Shannon county.
